Overview

EnergyXP is a new app-based STEM education platform developed by the Energy Education Foundation (EEF). Launching in time for the back-to-school season, the platform introduces middle school students to real-world energy concepts and career pathways through interactive, hands-on learning experiences.

The challenge

EEF’s existing Mobile Energy Learning Units needed to evolve to better meet modern learning expectations. The challenge was to create a scalable, engaging digital experience that:

  • Modernize existing educational content

  • Increase accessibility across schools and community events

  • Make complex energy topics approachable for students

The solution

We partnered with EEF to reimagine former learning units as a fully redesigned, interactive app-based platform on an iPad — combining upgraded technology, enhanced curricula, and digital integration with 3D models to support both in-class and event-based learning.

Why it MATTERS

EnergyXP transforms traditional STEM education into an interactive digital experience—making energy concepts more accessible, engaging, and relevant for students across the country.

This dynamic program strengthens Houston’s role as a leader in energy education, workforce development, and innovation by providing students with early exposure to both traditional oil & gas and emerging renewable technologies.
